Happy New Year Folks! Another solar orbit has begun. We had a blast in 2014 and we’re intent on making 2015 even more fun!
During 2014 we managed to get ourselves a website up and running (so you can read shit like this), we played a few gigs around town with some pretty decent bands (The Fifty-Four Plates spring to mind as being pretty cool) and released our debut single, ‘Love Sick’, which got aired on several radio stations in the UK and also on various US college radio stations. Not only that, we directed and produced our first music video, which got over 500 views in the first 2 months of its release (which ain’t band since we’re relatively unknown).
Our single helped get us some exposure and we’d like to say a superb thanks to everyone who took the time to come and see us play in 2014 and also to those who listened to our debut single (or watched it on YouTube).
All in all, 2014 was a pretty decent.
Bring on 2015
2015 is going to be more of the same, but more… if that makes sense. We’re hunting for gigs and have a few more singles to release. The big news is that our debut album will be out this year. We’ve been working on the album for the best part of 2014 and because we are putting it together DIY style it’s been a bit time-consuming and hard to squeeze in around our commitments, such as kids, girlfriends, work, gigging, rehearsing and generally getting spannered. We’ve got most of the album down and in the mixing stage however we’ve had to rework some of the drums on 5 of the tracks and re-record other parts. But the plan is to have the damn thing out by the end of the year at the very latest.
It’s the first Monday of 2015 and The Dogs jamming and recording round at the Dog House Studios (a.k.a Lenny’s flat). No rest for the wicked.
The album is still a way off, but some tracks are near completion and we’ll get these out as tasters before we release the album later this year. Hopefully we’ll be a little bit more switched on with the social media posts and keep you informed of the progress.
Thanks again for all your support and have a Blindingly Terminal New Year.
